AltX Financial Group concludes its inaugural RMBS

AltX Financial Group has successfully concluded its inaugural residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS) transaction, Horizon 2026-1 Trust, raising $400m backed by a pool of Australian residential mortgage loans.

The transaction marks a significant milestone for AltX Financial Group and its non-bank lending business, Assetline Capital (now AltX Lending), strengthening the funding platform behind Horizon as the lender looks to grow its long-term mortgage offering through the broker channel.

AltX Financial Group Co-Founder and Co-CEO, Nick Raphaely, said the inaugural transaction was an important step in the evolution of the Group's lending platform.

“This is a significant milestone for AltX and for Horizon. Building access to diversified institutional funding gives us a stronger platform from which to grow our mortgage business and continue investing in the proposition we bring to brokers.

“Ultimately, this is about giving brokers greater confidence in Horizon as a long-term lending partner and continuing to build a more competitive and flexible proposition for their clients.”

Horizon provides long-term residential and commercial mortgage solutions for a broad range of borrowers, including individuals, self-employed borrowers, companies, trusts and SMSFs.

The offering spans Prime, Near Prime and Specialist lending, with Full Doc and Alt Doc options, giving brokers greater scope to find solutions for borrowers across a broader range of circumstances.

The RMBS transaction represents the next stage in Horizon’s growth and further diversifies AltX Financial Group’s funding capabilities as it continues to scale its lending operations.

AltX Financial Group Co-Founder and Co-CEO, Steven Beinart, said the transaction would support the next phase of Horizon’s growth through the broker channel.

“We see significant opportunity to continue growing Horizon through the broker channel. This transaction gives us a stronger foundation to do that, while we continue investing in the product, pricing and policy settings that give brokers more ways to find a solution for their clients.

“Our ambition is to make Horizon a bigger part of the consideration set for Australian brokers, and this milestone is an important step towards that goal.”

AltX Financial Group Treasurer, Wayne Miller, said the successful execution of the transaction reflected strong investor confidence in the Group's lending platform and long-term strategy.

“The successful pricing of Horizon 2026-1 reflects the quality of the underlying portfolio and the confidence institutional investors have in AltX's underwriting, servicing and risk management capabilities.

“Completing our inaugural RMBS transaction broadens AltX's access to institutional capital, further diversifies our funding sources and establishes a scalable securitisation platform to support Horizon's continued growth.”

The transaction attracted strong support from a diverse group of 10 institutional investors, further validating the strength of the Horizon lending platform and AltX's origination and servicing capabilities.

Deutsche Bank acted as arranger and joint lead manager on the transaction, alongside National Australia Bank as joint lead manager. Perpetual Limited acted as trustee and trust manager.
